The history of Carozzi Formaggi dates back to 1960 in the small village of Ballabio in Valsassina, at the initiative of Aldo Carozzi. Over the years, new generations have given new impetus to business development through the entry into new distribution channels and progressive expansion abroad: Carozzi has been committed to combining the precious artisan skills of cheesemakers with the needs dictated by the most modern tastes.

The result is a wide range of unique cheese, the result of strong passion and some fortunate intuitions, which over the years have received prestigious awards.
In 2017, our Taleggio DOP won the ambitious tree starts at the Superior Taste Award at the International Taste Quality Instituite in Bruxelles, while Gorgonzola DOP and Capriziola were both rewarded with the gold medal at the 30th edition at the World Cheese Awards of London.
Food is getting more and more an opportunity for sharing and experiencing: Carozzi Formaggi, aware of this trend, decided to establish a unique location. La Formaggeria is more than a cheese retailer, it is a bistrot dedicated to the food and wine local excellences. Whoever would like to visit this location, recently renewed, can easily have break tasting our culinary art or taking part in several events.
